A Bit About "Blue Ridge Rustic Modern "

1285 Turkey Ridge Rd, Stanardsville, Virginia 22973

Blue Ridge Rustic Modern is a cabin like no other. Its Eastern White Pine Timbers stained a semi-transparent gray allow the grain to peak through it’s sleek aesthetic: rustic and modern. The forest of Tulip Poplar, White Pine, Shagbark Hickory, Sweet Birch, Sycamore, Dogwood, Cherry, and Redbud are selectively thinned allowing dramatic views of the Blue Ridge and Shenandoah National Park.

The three bedroom/three bath, three-floor cabin sleeps at least six (though more are possible, living room couch is ample, and there is room in Rec Room for air mattresses). The furnishings are mostly antiques from the 1920s-1960s, Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern. Two bedrooms have queen memory foam, a third bedroom has two twin memory foam. The kitchen is fully equipped. The main floor is thoroughly accessible for those with mobility issues, including walk-in shower with seat and grab bars. There is a main-floor laundry.

The cabin is dog friendly with two chain leads for “potty-time.” Recreation includes hot tub, pool table, game room, four televisions, stereo with record player and cd player, fire pit, cornhole, horseshoes, tire swing, tree porch-swing, antique redwood patio lounging furniture on the ample deck for stargazing and a back porch with a bird feeder for live entertainment. Hiking trails are right outside the back door, and the Swift Run Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park is less than a ten-minute drive, placing you almost dead center in the park. Two-night minimum stay at $295/night. Three night-special is $800, weekly at $1500.

Testimonials

Here are some notes of appreciation left in our cabin guest books.

"When my son announced that he was getting married in the mountains of Virginia and we would be staying in cabins, I didn't know what to expect. This was spectacular! We loved the cabins, the hot tubs. Everything was perfect. We were so impressed. Thank you for the beautiful, well equipped cabins. The weekend was fantastic."
The Rothermels, Boyertown, PA

"Thank you so much for the opportunity of a lifetime. We came here to celbrate our 13th anniversary. We stayed in the hot tub under the stars and held each other tight by the fireplace "

"What a wonderful place- it exceeded my expectarions! The loft is fabulous. We walked to the top each morning and evening to see the horses. (They really like apples!) I think we had the whole mountain to ourselves and we walked every square inch of it. We visited Blue Ridge Pottery and met Louie the dog. We'll be back!
